Appreciating Mud

Don't worry... This blog is not about appreciating mud puddles or centered around mud puddles, but I couldn't help but snap a couple of photographs of some folks who do seem to enjoy a good mud puddles - like I do.

While this isn't technically a mud puddle, I consider it one.  It just happens to be one long, thin mud puddle.  And these wild swans are enjoying the heck out of it.  In fact the two adult swans standing smack in the middle of this puddle were slapping their web feet around - seeming to enjoy the mild splash they were making.

This teen aged bald eagle seemed quite content to wade out into the middle of this rather large puddle in a field, surveying his surroundings and flapping it's wings every-so-often to kick up a nice splash.
