Recently I decided to do a little Christmas shopping. There is so much awesome stuff out there to shop for/at that it isn't always easy to settle on a purchase. However, a favorite go to place for me is Pier 1 - especially at Christmas. Keep in mind, this is not a sponsored post. Pier 1 has no idea that I'm writing this post, nor did they provide any of the items I'm going to show you. These purchases are mine. I used my money and made the decisions on what to buy (with a little help from the Fam).
First off, did I mention how cool the store is decorated? I love all the festive, colorful bits and bobs that are strategically placed throughout the store. I want to just wrap myself in a soft, fuzzy blanket, nestle into my sofa, and watching faery lights blink on and off for hours.
And, of course, what Christmas tree would be complete without ornaments? Many folks theme-up their trees, but we just throw all our ornaments on that we've collected through the years. It is now getting to the point where we're going to have to put up 2 Christmas trees every year.
I just love their displays, though. Santas, snow folks, and many, many others galore. So, let's start with the purchases...
Of all the Christmas ornaments Pier 1 had to offer, we had to get this one. How can you resist a reindeer with faery lights tangled in its antlers? We certainly couldn't! The ornament was $5.95.
Then there is this moose. Loving the moose! It sits on a table in our living room - peering up at the Christmas lights. It cost $24.95.
Loving the little details.
Dawn loves the color pink, and the Fam loves elephants. Seems like a logical choice to me! This sweet ornament cost $6.95.
Then there is this joyous snowman (pardon the bed that is the photography platform). It's belly is actually a candle holder.
Insert a battery operated tea candle here, and it casts these fabulous lights. This snowman cost $17.95.
I bought these three little plastic light bulbs as stocking stuffers. They are filled with scented bath gels. They're a bit steep at $2.00 each, especially since they are only good for may 2 baths (if you stretch it), but I thought they were cute and I needed stocking stuffers.
Then there was this cute little spoon rests. Since Christmas is a high volume cooking holiday, I thought Mum could use the festive guy in her kitchen. It cost $9.95.
Then there was this box. There were several options for the contents of this box, but we settled on this option...
A fancy glass ornament.
We thought the three snowfolks were appropriate for our little family. It cost us $9.95, but we love the vivid colors and the incredible delicacy of the ornament.
This was the final purchase. It was one I picked out (since Dawn had her pink elephant and Mum had her standing moose). I love the colors and modern feel. It cost $2.95.
So that is my recent haul, and I'm loving my purchases. Have you made any Christmas hauls recently? If so, do share! I'd love to hear about your Christmas choices!
