Garden Center Fun...

One of the best places within a 30 mile radius is Christianson's Nursery and Greenhouse.  It's this fantastic place where you can spend several hours exploring building after building filled with all sorts of garden goodies.  And for me, the best place in the business is the antiques shop.

How can you not want to go into this little antiques shop and explore?  The place looks so welcoming!

Even the entrance has a pussywillow heart wreath hanging in the window - shouting to each visitor the place is full of beautiful, heart-felt items.

Inside the job, you're hit with the smell of jasmine, lavendar, and rose.  Additionally, there is a comforting warmth that hugs you from all the windows.

They even had Easter goodies - chocolate bunnies and eggs - for customers to purchase for their Easter baskets.

This place is lovely and beautiful, and Dawn and I decided to buy our Mum a hat for Easter.  It wasn't one of those frilly Easter hats, but rather a fun, comfortable hat she could wear in the garden or out and about.  And, sure enough, she has been wearing it whenever she goes out and about.

In the back section of the shop is a little sanctuary for women.  A big, comfy sofa along with antique cloths, pillows, and all sorts of feminine treasures.

Even where the shopkeeper primarily worked, it was well blended with the rest of the shop.  Don't you just love those bell jars?!?! I've always wanted to buy a few bell jars.  I could see them as a center piece on my dining table with all sorts of plants sitting underneath their protective domes.

So, if you're ever in Skagit County, Washington - swing by Christianson's Nursery and Greenhouse in Mt. Vernon.  And be sure to go directly to their little antique shop, Primrose.  You won't regret it.
