Spring Brings the Market

With the arrival of spring, one of the local fruit and vegetable market opens.  Well, I should say, the first of April.  And like we usually do, we headed down to the market to see what was available and what we wanted to purchase.

When we arrived at the market, I reached for the ice water I had prepared for myself before we left the house and went for a drink.  Unfortunately, when preparing that water I managed to not twist the lid on completely and water came gushing out - drenching the front of me.  You should have seen it... I looked like I had wet myself.  A lovely site.

So I didn't get to walk around the fruit and veg market.  Instead, I had to see it from the driver's side window of my truck.  Luckily, I have a relatively good telephoto lens and could snap a few photos... Of the melons.

I'm seriously hoping this isn't a sign of things to come for the spring.  But, at least Mum took pity on me and bought a large bag of green grapes.  Loveliness.
