One of the fabulous things about the area I live in is flowers. We have lots of flowers. In March, we have acres of daffodils. In April, we have even more acres of tulips. Then May arrives and the fields burst with blue. Blue irises, that is...
Look at these babies... Fabulous, aren't they? We usually get close enough to take our photographs in the irises but this year the irises were planted in fields that were too difficult to gain access to. So, unfortunately, I could only photograph from my truck.
To be honest, I look forward to the iris fields far more than I look forward to the daffodils and even the tulips. So does the fam. But with such striking color, how could we not?!?!?!

They are beautiful. It reminds me of when I have gone to a Bluebell Wood before - it is something hard to get across as the scale is so stunning!
