Friend Making Monday...

Today is Friend Making Monday, and if you've been following this blog - you know what that means.  Kenlie over at All the Weigh has developed a fun little meme for all participants to enjoy.  Take a few moments and post your response to Friend Making Monday then head over to All the Weigh and post your link in the comments section.

Finish the Sentence

I like… raspberries.  It is a glorious fruit.

I don’t like… watermelon.  I suppose that is very un-American of me, but I cannot manage even the smell of watermelon.

I am… tired.  Well, at least my brain is tired.  I've got a huge Retreat that I'm facilitating next week with people coming from all over the country.  While I've been preparing for this for a few months, it still seems like I don't have enough time to do everything that needs to be done.

I love… my family.

I dream of… moving my family to England and living there until it is time for me to retire.  Then I may just buy a little cottage on the Isle of Skye and live out my days watching sunsets and reading books.

I wonder… what Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, and Dorothy Parker would have thought about blogging.

I know… my life's plan isn't going as it was suppose to go, but I suppose that is what makes it so interesting.

I went… to the market today to buy some fresh produce, and I realized I need to get new tires on my truck.  I'm not looking forward to that expense.

I have… a grand desire to live in Islington.

I think… Islington would be very happy to have me and my little family as residents.

I plan… move house - family and all - as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it's not possible yet.

I regret… There are too many things I have on my regret list.  Who has the time to dwell on them here? Certainly not me! Besides, why focus on the things I regret when I can simply recognize them, learn from them, and make sure I don't repeat myself.

I do… many things well, some things amazingly, and a few things wonderfully bad.

I drink… as much as possible - and I'm not talking alcohol.  I've always got a beverage (usually water, lemonade, or caffeine-free, diet Coke) within reach.

I wish… it would possible to get a clean "do over" but to carry the knowledge I have now back with me to the point I want to start my "do over." I believe I would have been less of a pain for Mum, more of a help to Dawn, and some of my decisions would not have been made in fear.

I am… a kick in the pants.  Full stop.

I am not… tolerant of fools, victims, or prats.

I need… a vacation.  Another full stop.

I hope… The right opportunity appears for me and the fam to do what we're hoping to do - because I know I intend to grab on with both hands and not let go until I've taken full advantage of that opportunity.

I want… to find a sugar daddy.  Sometimes I think it would be so much easier if I had a sugar daddy.  Preferably someone who is much older, has no living relatives, is incredibly rich, and only wants me for my mind (though not in a science fiction kind of way) or sense of humor.

I sometimes… wish both of my Grams were still alive.  I would love to take them to England, show them everything I love about the country, and then make arrangements for them to visit me there several times a year.

I always… brush my teeth before I go to bed.  Cannot fall asleep otherwise.

I can… curse in six different languages.  I'm working on the seventh language as we speak!

I cannot… handle hot weather.  I've had either a headache or migraine every day for the past two weeks.  One of the reasons why I moved to this little area of the world (aside from University) is because the weather isn't suppose to get hot enough to cause me those headaches and migraines. Very annoying.

I will… Conquer the world.  And when I do, all the fools, prats, and bullies will be sterilized.  Too much?

Happy Monday!

  1. I can't stand watermelon either, and everyone else in this house loves it. So I buy it, and I cut it up, and gag the whole time. lol

  2. Oh, that's a good one - wondering what famous authors think of blogging. Hmm. They could be either horribly appalled or totally in love with it.

Stopping in from FMM - hi!

  4. Here via FMM. I, too need a vacation. I imagine that the classics authors would be appalled by the state of American education and our youth today.

  5. Here from FMM. I can't tolerate hot weather either and I live in hot Arizona! I hibernate in the winter. Good Luck.

  7. Stopping by from FMM. Instead of a sugar daddy, I would like a benefactor. Someone who just gives me the money I need when I need it, no strings attached. Ah, to dream!

    1. A benefactor... That's perfect! That's exactly what I want! As soon as I find one for myself, I'll hook you up too. :)
