Photography Goal... Snowy Owl
Every year I create photography goals for myself. The goals vary but always include photographing something challenging, improving my skill set with the camera, lighting, or something related to technique, and increasing my exposure. This year's goal was to photograph the snowy owl.
Yesterday, my family and I got up early and headed out into the great outdoors with our cameras. While driving around, both Mum and I noticed a little in a field. Mum thought it was a cat, while I thought it was a dog. When we got even closer, I realized it was a snowy owl. I became giddy - stopping in the middle of the road and struggling to get my camera in hand.
The snowy owl seemed perfectly content to rest on a mound of dirt - watching me as I took aim with my camera and went snap happy. How fabulous!
On to the next goal!

Congrats on your owl! I want to shoot some really fine horse pics. Lucky for me, my niece just opened an equestrian center down south. Can't wait to visit!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like great fun!
DeleteCongratulations on your snowy owl photo and on getting to see one close enough to capture!
